Good move Robert-creating this thread.I have been a bit disappointed at the poor response to the petition on the Winter Gardens and the Public Halls.I contacted the Friends of Springburn Park when I set the petition up and whilst the initial respose was positive there does'nt seem to have been a great deal of support, especially since they indicated they had over 400 members. That said,we have also got an equal number of members but don't seem to be generating the signatures.Re the museum,I suspect that the Springburn objects will form part of a "Glasgow Story" when the new facility is eventually opened in the City. One only hopes it comes to pass. Thanks for keeping the pot boiling. Do you find this valuable?

Hello Harry, I understand your disappointment re the poor response, so I have a suggestion. How about the 'regulars' who chat back and forth, send a message to a few members who don't normally post, asking them to please sign the petition re the public halls. It will be interesting to see how many we get. I'm off to contact 5 people from our membership. Wish me luckBetty 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Wish me luckGood thinking Betty.I think one of the problems surrounds the difficulty people have been experiencing in signing up to the mycause site and interpreting the captcha in order to access it.However given that our wiki and the Friends of Spingburn park have a combined membership of about 1000 I would have expected a bit more response. I understood late last year that something is planned for the Public Halls but as far as I am aware there is no funding or plan for the "hothoose". Good luck indeed and maybe this link will generate some more action. Best wishes, Harry Do you find this valuable? |

Good luck. Best, Harry Do you find this valuable? |

drove by today and it looks as if the roofs about to cave in ,its already caved in at the smaller parts talking about the side. must admit only saw this whilst driving by but the way things are with the economy cant see it ever being fixed now .no doubt the council will just leave it till some developer buys it .but meanwhile the building just rots away
