Hi, are you related to George Porteous, born around 1940 and went to Elmvale School? I was in his class there. Do you find this valuable?

Nessie and John were both in my class at Elmvale School and over the years I have often wonder what had happened to them. Sorry to hear that they are both gone. My name then was Mary Mitchell from the Railway Blocks. Mary Junnor

Hi Mary, I'm Robert Stewart. I don't remember any other Porteous but Billy Kane, Crichton, Hunter, Margaret Weir, John McMullen, we were all in the same class. I've got a photo of the class but haven't got around to uploading it. I've been in the Toronto area since 1967. My 'coupon' is on the Contact page of www.stewartbooks.com

Hi Robert, I think I made a mistake about having a George Porteous in my class, but Nessie and John were definiately in my class. I had a George Conlin and a George Dickie and a Billy Mitchell. Do you find this valuable?

Hi Robert, I was at Elmvale and Albert around the same time so I must be about the same age as you. Mary Junnor

Hi Mary, I've just uploaded 2 class photos, 1 with Miss Purdie's class. They would be around 1949 to 52. Do you see yourself? Did you know Joyce McNeilly at Albert? She lives across the street from me in the Toronto area.

Hi Robert, I had a wee look at the photo but for my last year at Elmvale my teacher was Mrs Walker although Miss Purdie took the girls in my class for knitting, at that time I thought both teachers were really old but in your photo Miss Purdie seems quite young. Sorry but I did not know Joyce McNeilly
