I rode this bus very often as I had a boyfriend( who became my husband in 1957) who lived at the terminus in Milton(Scaraway st.) so I have very fond memories of travelling on this bus. Do you find this valuable?

Yes the No8 did go that route, down Lamont Rd, turn right at the bottom into Wallacewell Rd, left at the roundabout and up Northgate rd to the terminus. I took that bus for such a long time at my old Granny lived in possilpark.

I remember the #8 well, i used to get it at the bottom of Red road to Carlyle street (off Keppochill road) when I was going to my work in Cowlairs Loco works, I also remember the #16 came from Knightswood to Balornock( I'm sure the terminus was in Eastburn road), also the #16a went to Balornock East(turned left at the top of Red road, I think the terminus was in Ryehill road), the #4 went from Drumoyne to Balornock(terminus at Albert school)it turned off Petershill road onto Edgefauld road up the hill to Barmulloch road, then there was the #35 which went from Carntyne to Balornock, took the same route as the #4 from Petershill road to Balornock,( I think the terminus was in Wallacewell road) Do you find this valuable?
