Stobhill Hospital
Harrymc's mums retirement bash

I note from the posts on this site that many of you Springburn "natives*were introduced to the world in Stobhill.Lots of you also have friends and relatives who worked there.
As my maw also worked there as a humble orderly in the days before MRSA was discovered I thought it might be of interest to post a picture of her retirement "do" around 1981.
I have no clue who the lovely ladies assembled in the photo are apart of course from my dear mum,Kathleen, she's the one in the dotted black and white dress standing in the middle. However,I feel sure some of you,of particular vintage, miight recognise one or two, perhaps even yourself.
Hopefully it may evoke some fond memories.

Thanks for the photo Harry, my mum worked there too , but in the kitchens. She was probably there from around the mid 60's till possibly the late 70's. Jeanie Culbard was her name. My dad always used to say 'he allowed her to go out to work'...changed days indeed. Bunty
