This site is not about what Springburn has become; it is about what it once was. However, history is only ever understood by the ability to compare and contrast. This section has photos mainly although not exclusively, taken by Norrie from the mid 90s to the present and covers what remains of most parts of the district we hear so much of in the forums. Harry Mc has also taken a fair number of these photos in June/July 2008

I have just put a photo of a old house in Charleston Street ,can anyone tell me somthing about it ? was it a manse because i believe there used to be a church up that way.my brother said there used to be a heritage plaque on the wall, but now its a private house |

Just put on photo of the plumbers building in Carleston Street ,you can just see the edge of the pet shop next door,i think this used to be a fishmongers. Took it quickly did't want to hang about outside Thomsons too long........George |
