I used to live at 248 Gourlay St, John Thomas lived on the top floor. He was a real gentleman and always exchanged a pleasant word when we passed. The first we knew about his death was when the police arrived, he was a great loss to Springburn. His books are still in the public library, I was under the impression his photos had gone to the Peoples Palace, I have noted that elsewhere on this site is information that may not have happened.
