A WEE TRIBUTE TO FIONAThis is a featured page

Welcome Home
Maggies Places mean much to her
They tend to those who illness suffer
She sought to help in a practical way
So a Springburn lass flew far away
To a mountain high in the Himalayas
She took herself and many prayers

Her purpose,not some personal glory
A simple quest to raise some money
To help improve the lives of others
Unknown to us but sisters and brothers
She pushed herself right to the limit
And with God's help she reached her summit

Who knows what thoughts her head did fill
As she stood atop that lofty hill
But there's no doubt that she did offer
Some prayers for friends and those who suffer
The loved ones here and gone before
Locked in her heart for evermore

The mission o'er,safely returned
Her Odyssey in memory burned
To friends and family's warm embraces
With welcome help for Maggies Places,
As global pals we say "well done!"
Be sure you never walked alone.

So now you're back where you belong
Folks to regale with tale and song
When next you step on Scotland's Bens
To sprinkle moonbeams through the glens
When pearly mists those hills enshroud
Hark!Fiona,you made Springburnians proud.

For you Fiona and all the postings on the message boards will confirm the truth of it.
God bless.
