Left for Vancouver,BC '57, then to USA, Drafted US Army,been here ever since,Love it! been back to UK dozens of times,Love that too! All of my life's adventures are owed to my Springburn upbringing.

Wellfield, you and your brother look the epitomy of cool and must have been a great hit when you sang in front of that microphone. So comforting to read about someone who has found his Shangri-la and achieved his dreams. There is something which niggles a wee bit though,. Yours is an unusual surname and it brings forth from the deep recesses of my memory, a recollection of a Miss Tuck who must have had a shop in Springburn or worked in one> Does that ring any bells with you? Beryl, Five stars to you,that MissTuck,was our cousin Dorothy Tuck, Daughter of Stephen and Hannah Tuck, She became Mrs Dorothy Sanderson,her husband Ninian Sanderson won the 24 hr Le Man's race,driving for the Scottish team "Ecurie Ecosse'' in 1956.The shop was around the Vulcan/Cowlairs Rd area.She just recently passed away at age 80.If anyone is interesed,there's an article in "The Herald " from a few months ago about her life,she made Springburn proud,what a story!--if you punch in the Herald archives,(Dorothy Sanderson), or try http://www.theherald.co.uk/misc/print.php?artid=1200498
