My Mother, Father and my eldest brother, youngest brother and I lived on the left hand side of the street very last close at the top of the hill. I don't know the exact dates but my brother was born there 1947. My name was Mary Morrison my grannies name was Mary Barnes and as far as I know she used to get people ready when they were dying also dressed them for burial and was a friend to many people who fell on hard times. She was very well known in Springburn. I had an Auntie who lived in 39 Blackthorne Street her name was Maggie Hodge. I also had a cousin who lived on Balgary Hill. We had many happy hours playing in Springburn Park. It breaks my heart to see how everything has changed. The park no longer there. If anyone reads this and knew my family please get in touch. Thanks P.S. I'll be on this site often and look forward to seeing more old photo's and hearing more stories.
