My name is Sidney Johnstone I was born in 1944 in Eglinton lane.
We moved to Springburn in 1947
I lived at 58 Galloway st and would love to hear from any of my old friends or neighbours.
I went to Elmvale then Albert.
We left 1962 or thereabouts and moved just down the road to 28 Carbisdale st
I went to Canada in 1965 and I am presntly living in Hamilton Ontario.
I have many happy memories of Springburn I loved going to the park to catch sticklebacks I was there from morning till dark just running home to get a piece once in a while.
I think this is a wonderful thing having a site for Springburn people I am looking forward to getting reaquainted with some old friends.

hi sid, sorry not to reply sooner,i have a bit of information for you.i am a freemason and last night i visited the lodge in bishopbriggs and checked the list of past masters of the lodge and woe and behold i seen a name that i recognised.i then checked the picture of him taken about 10 years ago and this confirmed what i thought.the gentleman in question was present at the meeting so i approached him and introduced myself.i asked him about what school he went to and when? his reply was Albert 1956-1959.that person is robert pullin who is standing in front of you in the school photo.it really is a small world.i have given robert the web site name and hopefully he will join us.i will keep in touch.i now stay in the falkirk area and have done for the last 44 years, married with 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.hope to hear from you soon.billy [now known as willie]
