my wife sharon entered a competition on radio clyde this morning to win tickets to see whitney houston at the secc .for those that dont know the abbreviation its the scottish exhibition and conference centre which is situated on the clyde just along from the finnieston crane on the north bank .we're big soul music fans but whitneys had well publicised problems over the last few years so looking forward to it with a good bit of trepidation ,but we didn't pay for the tickets so what have we got to lose .anyway the reason i'm on is has anyone else won something memorable .i remember as a young boy i won a pair of john greig shinpads from the citizen saturday paper ,and also a few cd's from radio clyde recently but what has anyone else won

Hahaha, you know I never went to Shuffles for some reason I always thought I was too old. I loved Mary's Prayer, still had it on my music player until my other computer broke down. I haven't been to loads of gigs lately but did when a bit younger and as I'm already a bit corn beef it shouldn't make any difference lol. Talking about clubs again (or disco's as they were known then) went to The Savoy quite a lot. Also been in that one that was about roughly half-way up Sauchiehall Street, but the name escapes me now. Think it was called Rooftops once upon a time? Forget pipes and slippers, it's the memory going that bothers me lol!
