Hello my name is Davey Brown we lived at 3 Adamswell st.I went to Hyde-park school, 47 to 50 Then we moved to Crookston, then to USA 1954. Springburn was a place you can't forget playing in the midden, jumping on the back of Lorrie's going to the Kinema playing in the graveyard next door, hind and seek up the closes getting broken biscuts fae the cooperative following the lamp lighters till 10pm scared to go up the close unless the lamps were lite. Going to the band of Hope back of Sigh hill church. My first day of school I got a slate to do my ABC's my Yank!! kids think I went to school with the Flintstones ,What they missed. My mother tossed peace and jam sandwich wrapped in newspaper out the window lunch in Springburn getting in stain fights. I miss the land of my birth the good humor of the people. I could go on and on Cheer's Davey Broon Fae Glesgaetoon a wis the Glesgae glutun.
