I left Colston In 1963 and started work at Marley Tiles in Bishopbriggs as office junior, was trained as wages clerkess had numerous jobs since. I loved living in Springburn, wish my parents hadn't moved to Cowcaddens they werent there long when I lost both of them. However the building we lived in Hawthorn street wasn't there long after anyway, I went to the church up the Balgary and the one next to the swing park. Went to teachers training class and took the cub's although I have lived in Buckinghamshire for many years I think one day in the next couple of years we might return to Scotland.

I loved living in Springburn we moved there when I was five years old I went to Elmvale school then to Colston we had previously lived in Dulcie road In Balornock but dont remember much about that only my best friend was Kathleen Orr. I got married in Balornock North Parish Church lived in Cumbernauld then moved to Buckinghamshire we are still here but I hope to come back to Scotland in the next couple of years.
As they say there is no place like home an dit is very true although we have had a good life here I still miss all my friends and family.
