Hi' I'm Jimmy Reid, born Cowlairs Rd. 1941, Gourlay St, first school, first year and then moved out of our single-end to a three bedroom, inside lavvy, hoose on Wallacewell Rd. Balornock.
Worked away in England sometimes, London, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Manchester, Coatbridge. Had a wee hoose on Maryhill Rd. afore coming to Canada in 1969. Made Nuts and Bolts and a helluvva lot of noise singing country music. Did the Nashville scene and Ontario until booze and drug addictions laid me bare. Quit booze in 1979, ciggies in 1982 but I can't seem to give up women, ha!ha! Four wives later, who knows??

Work, Nuts and Bolts, went to College in 1984, age 43, graduated as a Rehabilitaion Counsellor in alcohol,drug addiction, injured workers.
Retired now on Lake Erie and "Fly ma Doos" Race pigeons, some of which I brought in from Larkhall in 1996, All Canadian Champion C Div. twice. Noa bad for a laddie who's first Doos wurr ootta I'Bell's Dookit up The Blocks ... he didnae know it, LoL!
